A way to chronicle my experiences in the wild wild west...

Text

So for starters, let’s just say that these past 8 or so months have been ridiculous… but my time in first year at Bethel School of Supernatural ministry is coming to a close.  I can only imagine that the rest of my life will be this crazy; I have been completely ruined for “normal” life.

Testimonies.  One of the main things I’ve learned in this culture is the power and utter necessity of testimony.  Ask your friends for them, tell friends about yours, soak up as many as you can and keep them in the front of your mind. Let them speak to you of the goodness of God and His love for you. Let them build your spirit up. They are so beautiful… God is laughing and rejoicing as He completely blows any and every paradigm that you have.

Oh, you think that you have to pray in order for someone to get healed or delivered?  A guy in my small group cast a demon out of a woman who had been tormented for 18 years.  She had been compulsively pulling her hair out from the time that she was 3 years old and all my friend did was speak the truth of God over her.  He just told her who she was and what God was saying to her.  She was completely delivered and he declared the blood of Christ over her life.  The last I heard, nearly two weeks after this occurrence, she was still free!! She was no longer pulling her hair out and she was experiencing peace and freedom that she had never known before.  Wow. …Wow.

And lastly, an exhortation for anybody reading this…  Give God a sacrifice of praise today and watch it change you.  What I mean is this… Some days we don’t feel like worshiping, but we were made to glorify God.  When we push into that reality until we feel the shift in our heart, we begin to comprehend our created purpose and we experience joy.  Just try it out…

(If praise doesn’t feel like a sacrifice today, then awesome! Let if flow and give Him your Heart!)

Blessings!

"But you, O Lord, are a shield about me,
my glory, and the lifter of my head.
I cried aloud to the Lord,
and he answered me from his holy hill.
- PSALM 3:3-4"

So… I have only been in Redding, CA for 2 days… and already, so much has happened. I’m so excited to see what the Lord has in store for this year.

DAY ONE (SEPT. 11, 2011)

So on this day, I was given a key to the apartment that does not work (I didn’t know this until I was the last person in the apt). So naturally I lock the front door and climb two stories down my back deck. Adventure #1. Check. After my Dad and I finished gallivanting around town I headed back to the still locked apartment (my roommates were all at a service @ Bethel).  As I walk up to my door, I’m thinking/praying, “God, someone needs to be home or something…I really don’t want to be the sketchy guy that climbs up his neighbors porches.” I’ve been that guy before; I’m looking for a new image. When I get to the door I try it just to be sure… and what do you know, it was unlocked. When talking to my roommates later, none of them had been home after I had left. I’m thinking that God was just saying to me “welcome home”. :)

DAY TWO (SEPT. 12, 2011)

Registration for school was pretty crazy… made some new friends, got a feel for the students that I would be sharing life with, and met my revival group pastor (a big dude from Hawaii that is awesome).  After my dad headed to Sacramento for his flight back home, and after I organized my room for a looooonnnnngggg time I went to the grocery store with Antonio (my new roomie) to get some grub. So as I was shopping I was thinking, “Man. I wish I could find some chicken for like $2.00/lb”, but everything I saw was waaayyy more expensive than that. I’m about to just give up on the chicken when I look down and what do I see? Chicken for $1.78/lb… As I look closer, It was literally the only chicken for that price.  Everything else was at least a buck more expensive.  The same sort of thing happened with pepper jack cheese. It just made me smile and reminded that even in little things, God loves to provide for us.  He is so good. Boom.
